History
- The original SMS IL leaderboard (on shine-get timing) was founded in November 2017.
- The prehistoric period ended in March 2020 with the introduction of the points system.
- Medals have been displayed since January 2021, and leaderboard verification started in June 2021.
- About half of the best IL players, the
Zoomers, were cancelled in October 2021. - The last change to levels + points calculation was made in December 2021, resulting in 118 levels, tho some sources (such as here) retroactively don't count medals/WRs for Beach Pipe.
- Accurate data has been tracked since the Bingo riot of January 2022.
- A malicious cancellation in September 2022 forebore a year of stagnation and community division.
- The accurate leaderboard project started in January 2023 in response to these last two events.
- The accurate IL viewer was released in July 2023, and this historic data published in July 2024.
